It is matter of proved privilege that an invitation from the management of the HFC Ltd. The D.A.V.    Trust & Managing Committee, an autonomous body, the biggest non-govt. educational organization in India having more than 750 institutions spreading and functioning through our the world, founded in 1885, to achieve pious goal and ideology , agreed to come forward to manage the school at Urvarak Nagar Barauni thus started D.A.V. Public School in April 1983 as project school to cater the needs of the employees of the H.F.C.

In 2002 school has become financially independent and at present running as a self financed school. The   object is to impart education on ancient culture on modern fines so as to build up and to equip the coming generation with the knowledge and temper to shoulder the responsibility of scientific age. Broadly speaking it covers the entire spectrum of educational activities. The name of the  founder Principal Shyam Swaroop Makhija finds place in the history of this school. The school is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi up to secondary level in the year 1989 and up to +2 classes in 1990.
